Sherwani is long coat, it has buttons in the front with ban collars. The sherwani falls well below the knees, and looks elegant especially if the groom is tall. The sherwanis are available in many colors. Off-white, beige and cream shades are more popular amongst men.

The colorful turbans are made of various materials; chunri or sheer cotton drape, with or without zari work. The groom's turban is traditionally red in color, and it goes well with the off-white sherwani.
